The original part of the hotel is thought to have been built in the mid
1500's with many timbers reputedly coming from old warships in Hampshire's
dockyards.
The Crown is supposedly haunted, but the present management have so far
seen no evidence of haunting, but staff and customers do report strange
happenings from time to time!
Why not relax in our Lounge Bar?
Open all day, you can enjoy a refreshing drink and excellent food. Also
look out for the Chefs daily specials.
Some of the tables even have game boards engraved on them as well!
Alternatively, weather permitting sit outside on our decking surrounded
by a colourful floral display.
Our Restaurant and Cellar bar can be booked for most occasions, meetings,
receptions and parties.
All our bedrooms are En-Suite; have colour television and have complimentary
tea & coffee making facilities.
